The weekdays were slow. The activity was waiting for Good Friday.
On Good Friday morning the sun was shining and all seemed well with the world, then the gates of death opened and all the calm ended. The babies would die on the day that Our Lord sacrificed His life for us.
Fifteen girls came to have their innocent child killed on Good Friday. Numerous girls came for birth control and pregnancy test. We stood in prayer for these mothers.
As the day progressed we had the awesome privilege to send three girls to an alternative center for a pregnancy test. As the prayer supporters came and went the sun warmed all. Then the wonder news came that a mom was not going to abort. She stopped to tell Mary that she was going to keep her baby. We exchanges numbers and told her that we would pray for her and her baby. Then the sun began to set and the evening prayer supporters came to pray. Now we were praying for those who chose life and for those who would be coming on Holy Saturday to end the life of their child.
One hundred seventy-five stood outside the gates of death on this Good Friday and Holy Saturday.
The most impressive time was when Dr. Gosser and twenty men and women came to pray. The night was quiet and all that you could hear was the prayers of those who came in the late hours to pray for all those who work, or support this evil. They prayed for the moms and the baby in the womb. As I sat in my chair listening to the prayers being said I thought how wonderful it is to be pro-life and to know that I am not alone in this battle.
Then the sun began to come up and the quiet night was replaced by the gates being opened and the next victims were coming to this place of death. The prayers continued and God honored our faithfulness.
